Did my BTA split?

Got up this morning and my BTA looked strange like it was two BTA's. Sorry the picture isn't the best but as soon as I started taking pictures with the flash the BTA started to open up so I had to act fast with the picture taking and had no time for any adjustments. So looking at the picture did my BTA split?

yup it did, one is open the other closed

I would say it did... not a good sign. They typically split from being stressed, from what I can see it appears that its very bleached.
