he has a 30g and he just put in a baby striped dogface puffer i told him to bring it back as soon as i heard him say that i told him it will outgrow the tank so fast he has snails and anenomes and i read they eat anenomes and snails mine us to do that and he said he doesnt care. what can he get with this fish tankmate wise?

Well, I think you are right.
The dogface will out grow that tank.
And the water quality will suffer enough, in all likelihood, as to be a problem for the anemones.
The puffer may enjoy the snails

So let him know that he is going to lose money (this is assuming that he has the proper lighting for anemones anyway - they might be doomed either way). But he may also lose that puffer in time, IMO.

Yeah, I think it is a big mistake to have a dig face puffer, regardless of size, in a 30. Your biggest problem will be keeping the fish from growing so quickly, not to mention the strain it puts on the bioload.

no inverts and i have a 55g but i would hold it until it gets to big for my tank i want to get rid of my tomatos though.

no i just got percs the tomatos are in my nano and the percs are in my 20g do u think i should?

Ah, I was getting confused because of another post you made. I would say it was better than the dogface being kept in the 30, but ultimately, you will definitely need to move him (more sooner than later).

it will outgrow both your tank within a yr that fish requires a 100 min.they do grow very fast.ps also with that fish in that tank no tank mates the polutance that fish will creat it will be imposible to keep amonia levels low
