Did my local fish shop give me good advice ?

today I went to my LFS to get some advice about stocking my 180 G tank.
They tried very hard to convince me to get a clown trigger as well as one of the larger angelfish, can these fish both go into a 180 G tank ?
they also suggested a tang, butterfly, wrasse and an eel of my choice.
does this seem like good advice or are they just trying to sell me expenive fish? they sell their clown triggers for $250 and some angels go for over $500.

i think its bad advice. the important thing here is what r u trying to accomplish with ur tank? r u going fowlr or reef? if fowlr, do want an aggressive setup? clown triggers r very aggressive and would hv no problem killing any newcomers. do u research online b4 buying any fish.

just a FOWLR.
I would prefer a tank with a smaller amount of medium-large size fish than a tank with lots of small fish.
Ive done lots of research including reading a few books but it can be harder to work out what fish can go into a tank this size than it is for a 55G tank because people wont often say that a fish needs a tank of more than 180 G unless its a monster size fish.
