how do you tell if an LTA is dieing or not? i just saw mines shrunk up really small in its hole and there was this brown stringy substance that came out of it. i took it out and didnt really smell anything. so to make sure my tank doesnt die, i move it to my QT tank with nothing in there. when i took it out, the tenticles were a little inflatted. all tangled up like it was those rubberband bouncy balls. is this normal? water paraments are
salinity it was 1.026 so i poured in some filter freshwater and it was 1.024
ammonia 0
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
ph 8.2
i just add today a green spotted mushrooms.
my lights are 3 15 watt lights
1 15 watt antinic
1 15 watt power glo
1 15 watt 50/50 slimeline 50% daylight 50% antinic by corallife
my lfs said it would be fine under my lights. it has been great for about 1 week now. and today i just noticed it was like that. btw if it dies how does the foul smell smell like? dog poop, rotten eggs, any ideas? and my polyps, shrooms, and curly Q anemone are doing great!

Sounds like you have normal output lights, Sorry but 45 watts of NO lights isn't going to keep any anemone alive. He is doomed to die, IMO.
LTA's also appreciate deeper sandbeds in order to place their foot in.
My best advice is take it back to the LFS.

alrite i found out that he wasnt dieing. he was just letting out some poop. and all my corals and anemone are doing great. never looked better. and it was even worst at the lfs. and plus im going to be setting up a 55 and going to get a coralife 48inch 2 280 watts.
is that enough?
