Differences Miniatus Vs Cherry Grouper??

Looked at a nice lil grouper today that was listed as a Cherry but I thought they had mislabeled a miniatus.
Besides the V tail are there any visible or long term differences? Looks, size, attitude?

Probably a Louti Grouper (Variola louti). They look just like Miniatus, as juveniles. There are two different types...Cherry and Skunk.
They grow large (30") and are highly aggressive. We have a 4" - 6" juvie in the 265, at the store and he beats up on the 8" Hippo, 8" Purple and 10" Orange Shoulder Tang.
Here's a shot, taken by me, of the one at the store:

I'm pretty sure I already went over that.

Miniatus, while territorial are not really aggressive and stay under 18".
Miniatus, as adults, also maintain the same color forum as juveniles.
This is an adult Louti: HERE

Any reported growth rate on a Miniatus? Do they grow as quick as a Lionfish or a Panther?
I'm thinking about a small 3-5" one for my 75 (FOR NOW, save the flames
).
I am seriously considering converting my 240 long (96x24x24) into a Salt tank. It already has CF dual lighting, dual overflows, wet dry, and dual powerheads...simply change substrate and add a couple of skimmers and I'm in buisness.
So I'm wondering how long a 4" one will do in a 75 and how long I would have to prepare the 240 with LR and get it cycled in Salt.
