What's the difference between the normal Emperor angel and the Red Sea one!? I was comparing both pics in this site and I just see a small difference in color intensity.

i dont know i think the red sea ones are darker and the regular emporers are lighter and the red sea ones might be rarer while the regular emporers are more common i really dont know though but i kow red seas are darker and the regular emporers are lighter for sure

So, the difference in price is just because of the slight difference in color, or just because it's rare? :notsure:

Yea alot of the fish that come from the Red Sea have big differences in color formation and pigment then ones say from Indonesia.

From what I've read and heard, the Red Sea Emperors are hardier and prettier. The Red Sea Emperors have an orange tail and are yellow under the mouth while the indo-pacifics have a yellow tail and grayish under the mouth.

CORRECTION. The only imperators with orange tails are from the Christmas Islands. NOT the Red Sea. Yes, the ones from the Red Sea have tails that are slightly darker, but they aren't Christmas Island Specimens, by any means. IMO, it is worth the extra few dollars to purchase Imperators from the Red Sea, because they do have better color than Indo-Pacific Specimens, and they are hardier, because they are handled much better on the way here. Plus, most of the Indo specimens come from the Phillipines and Indonesia, where the usage of Sodium Cyanide is quite common. Hope that helped...
