Difficulty feeding starfish...

I'm having some difficulty feeding my orange sea star. I've had him for about two months and he's still active, so I'm sure he's scavenges some. I've tried multiple times to put some seaweed selects and mysis underneath his body or in his arms, but he never grabs on or just moves away from it. Any suggestions??

mine was doing this once as well but after he really settles into his environment he should be fine he may just be doing it because he is fairly new of he may be finding enough to eat by himself.
