Difficulty w/ threaded bulkhead

So I have three threaded bulkheads coming out of the bottom of my overflow:

The problem is that whenever I tighten the plumbing to the bulkhead it spins the male part of the bulkhead fitting, therefore loosening it. Any tips on keeping the bulkhead tight?

Tighten the bulkheads last. Also, be careful not to overtighten the fittings on the bulkhead, as they're easily "popped" by too much tightening. Use a lot of Teflon tape so you don't have to overtighten them.

Thanks saxman, I figured it out yesterday. Having the intake side of the plumbing inserted into the slip end of the bulkhead also helped to keep control of what the bulkhead was doing. I didn't use any teflon tape and just tightened them enough to compress the rubber gasket a little bit.

I meant Teflon on the non-bulkhead threads...glad you got it figured out tho. Bulkheads just need to be hand-snugged, then maybe give them 1/8 turn with a wrench/slip joint pliers to finalize the tightening.
