Digital Camera Choice??

Just wandering what kind of camera should I purchase in the 300-500 dollar range. I currently have a fuji finepix 3800 and am looking for a better quality camera. I want some great shots of my tank... Thanks alot..

you can go to www.dpreview.com to research camera's. cannon has good camera's. i have a G5 and i love it.

I am thinking about a Minolta Dimage S414. It has 4 MP and 4X optical? Any know about htis one? I am also considering a Sony Cybershot?

I have the Cannon G3 (now the model is G5). Love it. Go to
www.bhphoto.com and you will see lots of them. IMO they have good prices too.

I use the sony cyber shot 5.0 megapixel ... great camera and better than great pics id recomend it to anyone. the optics are unbelivable with the carl zeiss lens . A little pricey but well worth it.

I use a Nikon coolpix 5400. The retail is kinda scary, but i found mine for $500 on www.digitaliquidators.com. Some people don't like these places cuz some don't have warranties. This place has Nikon US warranties though. Just watch out, they have pushy salespeople on the phone.

I am upping the price to the 600-700 dollar range because I decided to sell my digital video camcorder which I only used three times. Any suggestions??

Id really recomend looking into a cybershot ... ive tryed some of the other brands which arnt bad but not quite as good .. i think you can get a 5.0 cybershot with the zies lens for about 7-800 right now it was over 1,00 when i got it almost a year ago. The zies lens is like comparing aples and oranges .
For example a tasco scope will do what you need it to do for about $150 but anyone who wants to see the hairs standing up on the back of a gophers neck at 800 yards would gladly pay an extra 3-400 more to get a Zies or leopold scope. I always figure why settle for a step down when your already investing anything over $400 might as well get what you want .
Just my 2 cents. Anyhow look into one they are extrealy sharp.
