Digital camera Sugestions

Has anyone ever used the HP 315 camera? I'm curious how it is on ur aquarium pics? I'm seriously considering getting this camera cause it is by far the best bang for your buck on amazon. Any comments or suggestions are GREATLY aprreciated. Has anyone used any other dig. cameras for under $200 that are good? Thanks a lot!

HP has some cheaper webcams... my brother got one for about 20 bucks.. dosn't take the best res. photos but it's still alright. No idea where he got it from.. Good luck

thanks, but i'm not really looking for a webcam...I want the best res for the buck in a camera that is portable not a sit on the monitor type deal. Thanks though!

You wont get many nice pic'c out of a $200 camera... The pixel ratings are not high enough...The best bet for around $200 is to take the photos on a regular camera and buy a good scanner ... Are you taking these photos to print , to post or what ? If taking pictures to post on the web a cheap camera might surfice, because your monitor only has so many pixels fre inch any way... hope this helps... Tom

the best pics you will get would be from a video(digital or otherwise) record and then capture a still to post, i like the kodaks, but if you want the best, get something with a minimum of 3 mega pixels(you can get higher, but $$$$$$$)

We have a Sony cyber-shot dsc-f505v.
Sears was selling it for $900 and sears would match a internet company with a phone number.
Found it on the internet for $600.
Bought it a year ago so it should be way cheaper.
Its a 3.3megapixel. Can't wait to get my tank rollin so i can take picts.

i got the HP 315...it was 179 at amazon. It is 2.1 megapixel and it should be fine for me. I want it to take pics of my tank and whatever else (

Don't know about the HP 315 Eric.
I have a Kodak DC215 - was a gift 2 years ago, and since then I quit shopping around.
Although there are a lot of nice pics that people have posted here and on their webpages - I would have to say that the cameras that Adrian uses, and jacksonpt's new one he mentioned some time back - both take exceptional photos to post on a site.
If I was shopping - I would somehow "find" the money or save until I could afford that kind of quality.
