I think he's looking at a PH tester; not ammonia; at least that what the thread says after the deletion.
One of my kids gave me a TechEx (great name, but just a Hong Kong generic)PH tester; he said it was about $25. It is very accurate.

I use a PH tester by Hanna...Its laboratory grade, I have the PH temp combo. Google Hanna PH and you should find a place to get it.
