de nitrators do work, but usually not as good as they claim, and are high maintenance from what I have heard. I am not sure about the brand you put the link up for.

all the denitraters that I have seen use anaerobic bacteria. For that reason alone I don't want one in my system.
IMO the best denitrAtor is plant life. Not only to they consume nitrates but ammonia, pahoshates and carbon dioxide as well. And in the process filter out heavy ions and toxins. Just a whole lot better for your system. Even the ugly algaes do that.
I added macros, plus use refugiums and culture containers to always have macros and plants available and in my system. Besides I like the bright greens and reds they add.
