A pic is worth a thousand words...
If you clean the glass and do a water change, that will help a lot. Make sure your protein skimmer is working well, change out your filter media and your carbon. Test your top off water for the TDS. If the reading is more then 5, you need to switch your water source or change your filters. Test your top off water with a phosphate test kit. If you have any phosphates at all showing up, you need to switch water.

Im making my own water from RODI typhoon unit. The only TDS i have are some left over from salt in the container I mix in. The water comes out 0 TDS n when the first little bit goes in the mixing bin it will have a little TDS n will eventually read zero once enough water is in there. Are those TDS bad??
Should I leave my ligts off for while? Or just scrape the sides of my tank? Ill will post tank params and such later...

Physically removing algae by scraping is an important part of total algea control, but what happens to the algae after it is scraped off the glass? It is good to have a canister filter to actually remove the debris from the water column so it doesn't jsut stay in the water, growing, and settling back on rocks, glass, etc.
Other things that can help are reducing your light schedule and making sure you are not overfeeding.
