Disapeearance of green striped mushrooms - are the camel shrimp to blame?

In my 37 gallon reef all coral and fish are doing fine, healthy growing, etc. However, I have realized over the last 3 months that my green striped mushrooms have been disappearing. I use to have about 10 now I have three. At the same time my purple mushrooms have divided and have grown.
The tank has had the same fish for the past three years: two common clowns, a six line wrasse, green striped gobie, coral beauty, small two emerald crabs, blue leg hermmits, and snails. I did add three camel back shrimp about 6 months ago.
Could the camel shrimp be eating them? Other ideas?
Thanks,
Connie

I'm not positive...but it seems I've heard that camel backs are known to munch things we like to keep.........maybe someone else can confirm this......

I loved my camel shrimp but I did catch him munching... My loss was a brain coral and star polyps...
I would consider trapping or like me tear your reef apart to get the nasty little guy. He almost found out what the word swirl means... Instead I was kind gave him to my brother fish only /with live rock (130lbs) so he can live his life out there.

I have never read that the eat coral, etc, but they are my prime suspects. I also use to have yellow polyps in the tank and they disappreared, however, it could have been the hammerhead stinging it. The mushrooms were no where near the hammerhead!
Thanks,
Connie
