 Peppermint Shrimp disappearance without a single trace. Been in 35 hex tank 6 months, about 2-2.5 inches. No new tank arrivals in 6 months. Tank occupants: Clown about 5 inches and 1 inch wide, serpent star, flame angel, pajama cardinal, royal gramma, 2 conchs, 1 emerald crab. Will a fish wait until a shrimp gets to a larger size? Can't figure where it went.

Thanks,
Had not thought about the molt vulnerability as that would make sense as to why the shrimp survived so long. He was big enought to molt again and was now big enought to be really noticed. I got the clown as a wild little guy in 1998 and he was barely visible and now dominates. I guess either no more shrimp or try to make some type of safe haven for them to molt in. Not quite sure, but perhaps small deep caves.
Thanks for the help.

I'd vote for the emerald crab as clown fish almost never go oftern shrimp unless they've very hungry.
