disappearing white spots on a yellowT?

I introduced a YT in My 90 gal (LR/LS) a week ago (after 3 weeks + quarantine).
This morming, as usual, I turned 1st the actinic and noticed big white spots all over the fish. I was devastated. Re-read Beth post excellent post on QT/HT. I restarted my QT before going to work. When I came back late afternoon. The fish had no white spots.
I did not dream/make the story/ I DID SAW the white spots all over (bigger with the actinic), smaller with the compact fuorescent.
The white spots are gone!
Had anybody experienced such a "miracle".
Any explanation?
I just have 6 mos experience in this hobby. I consider myself quite serious/dedicated (number of posts?).
Thank you for your time

Could be air bubbles, but probably not. Tangs are active swimmers. Ich tomonts will drop off on their own, thats part of their life-cycle their offspring may return later in spades.
I'll keep my opinions on tangs to myself.

Ich is infamous for disappearing, and reappearing. Go ahead and work on the QT. However, all fish exposed are now at risk.

Please not that I made an error which I now corrected in the above comment....I said not at risk, and I meant NOW at risk. Ich is highly contagious and, once fish are exposed, they will more likely than not contract the disease.
Is your tank FO?

Yes, they are all now exposed. In the future (please forgive me if I sound harsh) PLEASE QT tangs for at least 6 weeks in the future. I know the normal recomendation is three weeks. Tangs, a scaleless fish, are already prone to ich. They need longer quarentine times IMO. What other fish are in the 90? Are you certain ich wasn't already there and just attatched to this fish? Please let us know what other fish he is in with and how long they have been there.
