I had a Disc coral a very long time ago and it died, I just used it as live rock...
Over time through aquascaping and sticking my arm in the tank it got moved here or there and I never paid attention to it.
It has been sitting in in the corner for a year now just left alone and nothing bothering it.
When I was grabbing frags and rubble to send to other folks I saw it again and was shocked.
What do you think? Is it coming back? They have a reputation for doing this but just seems odd that it would come back a different color. It was a burgundy with orange tenticles before.
Pics are bad but its NOT zoo and NOT mushrooms. It is on no other of the surrounding rocks or subsrtate but groing like crazy with these little purple and bright blue flat discs.
I was going to move it to study it further but decided to just leave well enough alone and revisit it in another month or so.
Very hard to get a pictures but I am very interested in other opinions on this. He almost fully buried in the substrate only about a Half dollar size paice of him showing, thats where the growth is.
Should I spotfeed it brains? Its it a Zombie from my old Disc Coral?
