I have had quite a few dragon wrasse over the years, and it never fails...they all end up dissappearing after a few weeks sometimes within a few days, as in the case of the last one i got a few weeks ago. I never find them outside of the tank as a result of them possibly having jumped out. I heard they like to bury themselves, so im assuming they bury themselves and die under there, because i never find them again...can u guys give some info on this....Is it only the dragon wrasse that do this......I love the way they look..at least in their juvie stages...but i never had one even grow anywhere near their adult stage because they always end up dissappearing!!!

Hi!!
Do you happen to have any eels? I have a 2ft. Fimbriated Moray and bought a 6" Dragon Wrasse... Well, 2 days after purchase I had a fat and happy eel... Id suspect anything with a largish mouth... A Wrasse will definitely go down easy! Hope this helps!

No...i have never had any eels, or large mouth fish that could swallow them. I have had quite a few dragon wrasse and they have all mysteriously dissappeared within days or a few weeks. He was in with a few small damsels, a small humma humma and a small 3inch Majestic angel

Hmm... Maybe they do just die under the sand... I'm not really sure why though. Did they ever receive any aggression from any of the fish? Hopefully someone else can chime in here... Hope it helps though!

have you been purchasing from the same place...How you checked to see how long they have been at then store?
Dragon wrasses are usually very hardy.
Juvi's have very high metabolisms so you may not be feeding enough
