disturbing sighn in my tank.

I have noticed a build up of salt right around the bottum of my tank right above the wood framming or the wood that surounds the tank. Is this a leak and what should I do. If it is a leak it has to be on the bottum. I will try to get a pic soon but I cleaned it off to see if it goes away.

Could any water have dripped down there during a top-off or water change?

its possiable, but this is the second time that i have seen it but this time was right after a water change.Also I have a green brittle star that i have to hand feed, so i am all the time sticking my arm in there but i dont see any run down from the top. if it is a leak willm it just suddenly but open or anything like that?
