help my diy ato is putting too much water in sump.
the pump (toms aqualifter) goes off when float switches open ,
but siphon still continues for an extra gallon or so.
fresh water sump is higher than refugium so natural siphon action occurs.
i am also in the prosess of making a kalawasser stirrer, so i need to know what to do before i hook it up so i dont nuke my tank....
PLEASE HELP

The end of your fill tube needs to be higher than the water container holding the top off water. OR you need a syphon break.

Yes,unfortunatelly Toms has that problem. I use the SAME pump and had the same problem. It will "pull" water up 30 inches and "push" it up another 30..BUT at a Very slow drip rate like you mentioned. You will need to put a "T" at the highest point on your fill tube...then run another section of tubing to a point higher than the pump will pump. Lemme see if I have a picture of what I m saying...
