Anything is possible with the right size flux capacitor..

Anything's possible I suppose. My auto top off is very simple. I just drilled a hole in the side of my Tipepool II and installed a float valve. The water comes directly from my RO/DI system. It's been operational for three years and works perfect.

You could drill a hole in the bottom of a bucket have it sit higher then the tank and then put a float valve in the sump and then when ever the float valve lowers it will let enuf water in from the bucket so as long as the bucket is higher then the sump your golden.
