DIY branch rock/seahorse hitch

I found this on another site and thought I would give it a try.
First I am trying a seahorse hitch. I bought thin plastic tubing for water systems. Its stiff but will bend pretty easy. I heated it in hot water and bent to the shape I wanted, then, I drilled a few holes, and attached the branches. I drilled a hole the size of the pipe. (smaller the the stem). I fit the branches in the holes and glued them with super glue.

Then I wrapped it in screen to help holed the cement.

I mixed portland cement with some old sand I had. I made it kind of soupy so it would fill in the screening. I covered it as much as I could, and will let it cure for a couple of days. I covered it with a plastic bag to keep it moist.
In a couple of days I will put another coat on it. I will let it dry, them cure for a few months, until I think its ready for the tank.

Thanks, Cant wait to get it cured.
I also am excited to try the branch rock, but a little scared of the blow torch.
I can use a saw, hammer, drill, but a little scared of fire.
