DIY Bubble trap???

Ok yall, I have searched the board for an answer to my sea clone's bubble habit to no avail. I was wondering if anyone has an idea for a DIY bubble trap? The darn thing even makes bubbles with the air valve wide open! I have had the tank running for about 2 months and the bubbles recede and recur without any change except new lights in the last month. Everything in the tank is fine, but the bubbles prevent me from really enjoying the tank. Ideas???

My seaclone would bubble if it was to low in the tank. I had to cut the tube so my powerhead was higher in the water

That is the only thing I have not tried, as it is only about 2.5 inches deep. I guess I have nothing to loose, I will take off half an inch... I will post the results soon! Thanks!
