Does anyone know how to make a DIY fish trap; there is a Sohal tang that I have been trying to catch for a week now. I have a 90 gallon tank which is why he has to go, the tank has 180 pounds of live rock that I will not remove so any help on making a trap or a catching technique will be greatly appreciated.

use a 2 liter sofa bottle and cut the cap end into a funnel about where the top of the label is. then cut a hole where the cap is big enough for the fish to get into take and turn the cut off peice around and put into base of bottle. put some food inside and lay on bottom of tank and just wait. I had a damsel and rooj about an hour and was caught. seems that they go in but cant get out! hope this helps

Does he come up to the top when you feed him? If so feed him and be ready with a net. Thats the only wasy way i can think of.

Fianally had the guys from the LFS come remove almost all of the rock, and catch him. They reaquascaped my tank too. I got a hippo ang and a chevron tang instead of him.
