DIY food

I don't think that's the right recipe for you to use. Firstly, if you read it, it's designed for freshwater fish, African cichlids to be exact. Secondly, 4 out of 5 fish that you own are carnivores and the only meaty food in that recipe is shrimp. That's not offerring a good variety in my opinion.
You want a variety of meaty foods (shrimps, clams, squid, urchin, a little bit of salmon, etc). There have been way better recipes on this site.
Don't you also need to give you puffer food that will keep their teeth ground down?

ok, your right. I was in a hurry and didnt have time to read through it i just skipped to the recipe and posted this. I guess im looking for recipes more than anything
My biggest question is How much of what, last time i checked family fair had all of those but urchin, and i doubt thats a problem. So whats a good portion, like a half a pound each, and a few ounces of salmon?
Also what do you mean 4 out of 5 if i have two pairs and a carnivorous puffer?

From what I've read about Valentini's (and I could be totally wrong, I honestly don't know that much about them), they're omnivores, whereas firefish and clowns are carnivores. That's what I was referring to with the 4 out of 5.
I don't know the exact amounts. I don't measure, LOL. I'm actually lazy and just stick with frozen foods for the most part. My fish don't accept flake or pellet. I feed a mixture of Emerald Entree, PE Mysis, regular Mysis, Cyclops, Spirulina Brine Shrimp, live baby Brine Shrimp, Marine Cuisine, Squid and fresh shaved salmon on occasion as well as algae sheets. I have a small kitchen so making fish food is just too much of a disaster and I don't like cleaning it. The LFS near me has excellent prices on frozen food and it happens to be the brand I prefer (San Francisco Bay Brand), and it's actually cheaper for me to just buy the cubes from them than make my own (usually this shouldn't be the case).
Someone just had a thread about homemade fish food on here recently, I'll try to find it. The searches stink since the upgrade.

my valentini is a carnivore from what i observe, i feed flakes and mysis and he wont touch the flakes, he loves his mysis though.
But for all i know he could be eating algae from rocks.
The only reason i posted this was because i found out that a Family Fair about a block away in biking distance has quite a variety of fresh seafood, and the prices arnt that bad.
If anyone has any good recipes, please share them

DIY fish food is so frustrating. Ive made 2 recipes, and I consider both a fail.
They just like mysis shrimp. They never get tired of mysis shrimp.
Im serious, if I fed nothing but mysis shrimp...everyone would be happy.
Im at a loss, the CuC goes bonkers for my recipes. But everyone else is a no go.
I think ill try a scallop/muscle free concoction next.
