We're in the process of making a refugium and need an overflow box. They are a little pricey so thought I check with you guys for some ideas!!

you might try home depot or lowes. Home depot was kind enough to cut plexiglass at no charge to my specifications.

A little cheesy but works...
I went to WalMart and picked up a set of tupperwear containers that were about 4 inches square and 5 or 6 inches deep. One is actually a little smaller then the other one. Then I got a peice of lexan that I had and heated it up enough to bend it into a U shape to fit over top of the tank. Drilled holes through the U and into the containers and used 1/4 nylon nuts sealed with silicon to put it together.
I drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the bottom of the outter box for PVC pipe and sealed it with silicon, and then when it was dry sealed the bottom with a marine epoxy to add strength. (Make sure the PVC pipe is about an inch higher then the bottom of the inner box will be.)
Cut some notches in the inner box to set the water line in the tank.
Lastly bought a two replacement U-Tubes for a skimmer on the net, and thats pretty much it.
