this is just a mockup of what i want to do , when i get my new tank . Pic's below
tank 215 gallon : 72x24x29 with a 75 gallon sump/refug
two 1" pvc overflows flowing both to the same side of the sump through 2" pipe right after the T's on the overflows .
the overflows are the same size but the T on the left is higher so when i connect the flex hose to the right side i'll have about a 1' drop
im looking for 1200 gph and i plan on using a mag18 as my return with a 5' head to get back to the DT
Questions:
1) will this work ?
2) do you think i'll lose siphon pressure because i took away how far the water falls through the 1" pipe before it reaches the sump creating less pull ?
any advice would be great.
