i have a 10 gallon tank laying around. i wanna know if there is a easy way to make a refugium only, i dont want it a sump/refugium, just a refugium without having to drill my nanocube or buying an overflow or anything like that. Just something simple. the 10g tank i have fits under my stand so i wanna make it a fuge to grow pods and cheato. anyone have an idea? or ideas? anyway to do it with just airline tube or something?

i'm not familiar with nano's but isnt there chambers in the back of it that you could mod into a built-in fuge?

I've done a couple DIY refugiums before and I think that a 10g refugium is a little overkill for a 28g. The Chaeto will do fine in smaller amounts - you don't need 10g's worth of it to get the desired effect. Chaeto is beneficial for the aquarium because it elimintates the nutrients that smaller algae eat, making your display tank uninhabitable for algae... it's essentially a filter. That filter only needs to be about the same size as your other filters. Make sense?
Here's mine:

Also, I don't mean to discourage you, but I took that refugium down after a week because the overflow was such a nightmare - here's why:

i know that the 10g is a little overkill, i should have mentioned i eventually wanna get a dragonet, and i need lots of pods for one, hence why i want the 10g fuge...a healthy supply of them
