You could easily do such. You'll need to go to Lowes/Home Depot/Tru-Value and get some plexiglass baffles cut to size. I'd get three personally, but it depends on your design you wish to go with. You will also need and overflow, PVC pipe, PVC glue. The size of the pump depends upon the distance below your DT. Pumps are normally rated at 0 height. When you try to push H20 up, make it turn with 90 degree connecters, you lose power. I personally have a 20g fuge(normally when operating it has about 16-17 gallons in it) and a 55g DT. My return pump is a Via Aqua 3600. This pump is rated about 1050 gph at 0 height. But I'm guess it pushes about 600 gph. It has to travel up about 4 feet and has 2-45 degrees and 3-90 degree PVC connecters. Most pumps on the side of them will tell you how much they push at 1 foot of heigth intervals. For a 10g refugium I would probalby use a pump rated aroun 700 gph, depending upon the heigth it has to travel and the # of turns it must go through. Hope this helps. If not, just ask and I will try and help
. Here's a link in which I tried to post directions.

iwas going to do the same for my 55G...but Iwas going to have one pump in my w/d pumping water in to the 10G(or 20L if it will fit) and then pump it right back in to the w/d...not sure if its 100% as effective as having a seporate overflow...but since its only 10 or 20G I think 300-600 gph would be wayyy too much...think thatd help keep ntrates down?
