DIY Refugium

Alright I have a question. My refugium was made to fit under my stand. This is what it looks like.

I was wondering where I should put my return pump since I do not have much room for a return area. Any suggestios?

other info needed. u makeing a fuge, are u going to have the skimmer in the sump, u placing the heater in there also.....wut are ur plans

Just refugium. I was thinking goin with a deep sand bed. But I was also thinking about mineral mud. Im open to suggestions.

gator...I am not sure what you are asking. My simple answer without more info is the return goes in the sump/refugium that you have diagramed.I can not think of any other place for it. If you have little room under the stand for the 'fuge', then an external pump is out of the question. What am I missing? More info appreciated. (size of tank....Predrilled/reef ready or overflow box, etc.) Thanks

Overflow box 55g. So I just put the return pump in the refugium with the cheato and sandbed.

Unless you are willing to put a series of baffles in (dividers) then you have no choice IMO. You will end up eating up lots of your 'fuge' space if you add baffles. there are several threads running now and many if you search the DIY archives or google melevs reef that explain building a sump/refugium.
