DIY rock for TRADE only

I need some new equipment and I have plenty of DIY rock left over. What I would really like is a nano tank like a jbj or aquapod. However, I will also be interested in a hob fuge, powerheads, ro/di units (small ones/10gpd is more than enough) test kits, refractometer, ph meter, digital thermometer. I don't have anything to trade, but I was wondering what you use to make your rock, yours looks so much better then mine, lol.

I just use crushed oyster shells and cement. Its the mixture that matters. Took me a long time to get it right.

I can't get my rock to look like that either and i use oyster shell too. my rocks look like crap. how do you get all the texture?

The rock I'm trading has been cured but I still have more that is curing. lol yeah I guess you could say they put the fear in me.

I do not see any problems with the thread so far. Great idea IMO. I hope he can do some trading. So long as he does not turn around and try to sell the things he traded for.

lol bit too much of a hassle. good idea though. always a way i guess. No i actually need the stuff I am trading for because when I move to GA I will be getting an apartment and need a smaller setup. Thanks for keeping an eye on me

I figured out a cool way to make some sweet rocks. Once I take pics and stuff i post a thread. but i use a 5 to 1.5-2 ratio of Oyster shell to cement. after pouring the cement into the sand mold i use my fingers and poke holes down through the cement into the send on the other side do you get bumps that stick out. also make a bunch of just blob pieces and took ones that came out like crap and just mixed up just pure cement into a mortar about the thickness of drywall mud and stuck the pieces together, made the best rock I've done.
