DIY rock

can I use regular tap water to cure the rock I made. right now its in R/O water in tubs and has been since The end of Jan. I was thinking of pulling the tubs outside so I can use the garden hose and change out the water more often to try and get the ph down. whats your opinion

No need for anything special or RO for curing it.
Save some legwork and just put the rock into the top tank of your toilets in your home.
Through the normal process of when flushing the toilet the water is constantly changed out saving you the trouble.
It will displace some water in the toilet's tank so dont FILL the tank with it as you could see a decrease in "Log Power" but thats why split it into two or three different tanks and should be ready to go in a few weeks.

Since it displaces water in the tank it WILL save water so hide behind that if someone questions it. Say your doing your part to save the planet....One log at a time!

thats so funny but I have 2 tubs filled with rock I made from cement and crushed oyster shell and only 1 toilet cause I'm going from a 90 gal tank to a 215 gal starfire. and theres not enough rock in my 90 so I made some but its taking forever to get the ph down

so i quess tape water won't hurt anything. the tubs are 18 gal tubs. I kind of went nuts making the rock.
how do you guys get these little smiley things in your posts

I mostly use quick reply, but if you hit the bottom "Post Reply" then you have more of a dashboard.
text tags work too once you get to know them.
