DIY skimmer photos

This is my first attempt at making a skimmer. It is not finished yet, but you can tell what it will look like.

Also I have almost finished my first DIY secondary reactor for a calcium reactor. wamp this is yours when it is finished.

Let me know what you think...anything I could do to improve my designs?

Actually right now it is going in the venturi direction. I was at Home Depot yesterday and couldn't find any Beckets. If I can find any, I would rather make it that than venturi. I have a venturi, though. I am making it so it could be changed fairly easily. The hole next to the reaction chamber will have a bulkhead fitting in it so the water input can be changed.

Hey, When you gonna build my duel Skimmer? I want it to be a downdraft with 2 inputs. I will split the pump between the 2. I want a carbon cup on the top to cut down on odor. Oh yeah, and an extra collection cup with a drain tube and a ping pong style cut off if it gets full. Not to mention, I also want my calcium reactor to run off the same pump. Can you make the reactor work off the output of the skimmer?
After you get those done, I want a surge tank. But, I do not want bubbles. Any questions?
