Do anemones split?

Looks like my anemone split and made 2 small ones or am I crazy?

Anemone's do split when they get stressed out.

I got some green hair moss looking algae so my phos. maybe like high, but I been tring to get it down. What causes them to stress?

What causes them to stress out?
I had a BTA that was quite happy in it's spot for 6 months. I added 2 powerheads and changed the direction of flow and it split. Could that have caused it?

anomones do split to reproduce other than being stressed. the flow could be what caused it but usually if they dont like somthing where they are it would just move.

Bta's split quite regularly and reproduce in the home aquarium.

What do you feed and how often? (overfeeding can lead to high phosphates and other dissolved solids)
Do you skim? (a skimmer removes said particulates)
Water change frequency?
Do you use RO water?
