I need help from someone who knows their stuff... I added 8 anenones from a shipping order and only 2 servived even though I did the acclaimation procedure to the letter (one later went to the here after). Well the next thing I know I no longer have any live fish in my tank which have been there since I started it, namely 4 yellowtailed damsels plus the fish I bought with my order. I was told it was poison release from the anemones...let me know what you think. i need help here

First comment is,,,Why did you get that many at one time????And YES they can kill your fish when they die..They sometimes release thier toxins/poison into the water...If that many dies at once, this is a good possibility. But I am also wondering why you think they were dead??? What did they do/look like??? Many times when an anemone is put into a new tank they will expell all of the water that is inside of them,,and refill themselves with your tank water. When they do this they will shrink up to a fraction of thier normal size. They also will literally turn themselves inside out during this process. Both of these are common behavior, and quite allarming to someone that doesn't have any knowlage of thier care...

I bought florida condi, lot of 5 2 in. 1 yellow something or other and 1 haitian condi. I know they were dead because they turned grey with slimey stuff trailing from them plus they stank up to high heaven when I removed them. Trust me, I waited 3 days before pulling their bodies out because as long as I saw color on them they remained. As to why so many, it didn't seem like to many for a 75 gal tank with lots of space for them to go. I have a fasination for the anemone. At least one servived and is currently in my 10 gal hospital tank alone and is happy looking
