Do aptasia sting the fish?

I'm wondering cause I have a major infestation of them! I just bought some stuff to inject them and they shriviled up but now they are back and just brown? I put a peppermint in there but have yet to see him or any damage to the aptasia. Can I just pluck them off??? Help they are driving me and I think my fish nuts! TIA

I have never noticed any effects on my fish other than they didn't pick at the rock in the areas that were heavily infested.
I don't know if you acually injected the aptasia or not but if you just shove the end of the syringe into them and try to inject them it won't work you have to send a gentle stream onto the mouth and they will injest it on their own. Joes juice seems to work the best I have also used kalkwasser and blue life aptasia control and both work but both mixtures were very clumpy and kept plugging the syringe did not have this issue with Joes juice.
