Do black brittle stars eat pods?

I have a star that keeps getting into the overflow box from the main tank, and was wondering if I should just let it get into the refugium? Would it harm production of the pods in my "Pod Farm" if its in there? Or would it be a good thing to have in there? All I have atm are all the pods and worms and micro stars in the refugium. Any ideas on this out there? Thanks.

I've had a black brittle for over 2 years and it never attempts to go remotely near the top of the tank. It'll just bury itself underneath rocks and caves. It has grown about double in size since then.
From what I understand, they eat dietrus (spelling?) and regular fish food (flake, pellets, etc.) that falls to the sand. Once I have garlic pellets or krill pellets hit the sand, he immediately reaches out its arms, grabs the food, and brings it back to eat. I don't believe they eat pods. They are considered part of the cleanup crew and eat whatever is "leftover". I've never heard of them eating pods. You should be fine with it in your fuge in my opinion. But then again, I never heard of them climbing up into overflows.
