Do black Percs get hosted in a bubble tip anemone?

Not likely. They may, but Maroon clowns are the BTA best bet.
Magnificas are best for percs.

Even though black percs aren't natural symbionts to BTAs, I'd still say it's definitely probable that the anemone will host them. I'm not saying it always happens though. Magnificas are a lot less hardy thatn BTAs.

I just ordered 2 black and white clowns and have a RBTA so I will post the outcome. I traded 3 zoa frags for this RBTA, scored!

I have a green bta and a black perc hosting it. It took a couple of months for the perc to host it, but eventually it started hosting. I noticed that for a couple of weeks it would rub its nose on the tenticles. I also used a clownfish seaweed clip placed on the glass close to the anenome to get its attention to that area of the tank. I also lost a new black perc to anenome, I beleive small clowns, especially tank bred, have a natural instinct to anenomes. The problem is first getting them to recognize the anenome, and sencod they need to acclimate themselves to the anenome.

Sure, I can send a pic, will get back to you later tonight. I will take a pic at lunch and post it later tonight.
Since on the subject of percs, my other balck perc died. Never found the dead fish, just disappeared, I think the anenomes ate it. Anyone ever pair up a black perc with an orange one? Been thinking getting an orange one, black percs are about twice the price as an orange one at my lfs. I figure I will buy the smallest orange one out of a group, since the black one has probably turned female by now, being in my tank for about four months.

sorry to hear about your lost, that really sucks. Did it just dissapear? I had 2 percula's a while ago and they would not eat when I put them in there new home could not figure out why? I waited 3 months and now I got these black and white clown's. They are awesome! Be better if they would host my RBTA.

Here are some pics of my black perc with its anenomes. The two were originally one. My perc is about 2"-2.5" long and bounces back and forth from the anenomes. My other black perc that disappeared was only a little over an inch. Never found it, just vanished. One of the anenomes could have easily got it.
My camera sucks, sorry about the fuzzy pics.

I have a way to make them host, put a picture of a clownfish(same type) near the anemone(on the outside of the glass)ive herd that works. What is a good amount of light for a bta. I have a 125 watt metal halide.

Well, they are starting to hang out near the anemone now. Swiming over it and no aggression between the two. Anemone is looking healthy, supposed to be a BTA but tenticles are long? The person I got it from had it under VHO's and its been at the top of my tank directly under my halides and no change? I think it should'nt be much longer!!! ***)
