do brine shrimp eat phyto?

my lfs gets live brine shrimp weekley. I was wondering if i feed them phytoplankton could i improve there neutritonal value?

Brian shrimp eat yeast the kind you bake bread with. They are not a good source of food they should only be used to get finicky eats to start eating. This just my opinion.

Artemia will indeed eat live phyto, with the exception of possible Nannochloropsis due to its thick cell wall, and yes, it will improve their nutritional profile. You can also feed them finely crushed marine flakes, spirulina powder, beta glucan, vitamins (C, B6, B12), brewer's yeast (as mentioned) etc.
