do clown fish need an anemone to breed

i dont have lights for my tank i know it sucks but do clownfish need an anemone to breed
because i want to try to do this so can you please tell me if they need an anemone to breed it would be so cool to breed them oh yeah can there be other fish in there while they breed :help:

Absolutely not.
Most commercial breeder tanks only have the pair of clowns and some structures in the tank, usually PVC or ceramic tiles....no corals or anemones.
If you want more info, check out the book Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson, it will give you the step-by-step on breeding clowns.

Sure, just dont expect to raise the eggs in your display tank.
