Do corals do noticably better when nitrates are under 10ppm?

I've heard this a few times but before I try to go under 10 I would like an idea of how much difference it makes.

I would strive for 0 regardless. Corals are more sensitive to nitrates than fish.

I notice the corals color " POP " more every time I do a water change. Keep up with water changes and you will get the growth you want.
