Do denitrators work???

Looking at some on ---- and am wondering if they really work or are they just a scam.

A properly designed and set up denitrator does work. and for some it is the only viable means to get nitrates down to an acceptable level. HOWEVER, there are IMO MUCH better methods of eliminating nitrates. A properly set up refugium with a NNR SB, along with enough LR, would be a superior method of eliminating nitrates. There are some issues and hazar5ds that are involved with denitrators and those should be weighed before taking the step of putting one on line.
