They will regrow, I've heard there is some kind of chemical you can add to the tank that will speed it up, I've never used it myself, I just let nature take its coarse. Usually don't take to long..Lisa

i had a yellow tang once that harrassed my other fish so bad that they wouldnt even eat! he y tang would use his little sword on the sides of his body and rip my other fish tdo pieces!!! so i finally got so mad, that i took him out of the tank and cut those damn swords off!! ill be damn if in a couple of weeks he had new ones and was back to his old tricks again! i donated him to the nearest pet shop , that had the same problem!!! so yes they do grow fins and body parts back.. <img src="graemlins//mischievous.gif" border="0" alt="[Mischievous]" />

My sailfin had a whole in is sail on day and the next it was gone. I wouldn't add anything, just let it heal itself.

I have seen fins grow back on several different fish and as mentioned above it didnt really take long.
I agree with others also that I would just let nature do its job.

yeah they grow back and there is something that is supposed to help. I cant for the life of me remember the name of it, but i remember that it sucked really bad and dont buy it under any circumstance. i tried it once because it was cheap (these were my more inexperienced days when i still thought cheap was ok) and it didnt work for crap. i know that it smelled liked lemons and it was in a blue bottle with red trim. anyways nobody use it.
