I had a wrasse in my tank attacking my mandarin goby so i took the wrasse out into another tank for 2 weeks. if i place him back in the same tank where the mandarin was in will he possibly remember and continue to attack it?
thanks

It is not a personal issue where your goby said something to offend the wrasse, it is a natural response and instinctual for them. Now, some fish are more agressive or prone to that behavior, removing for 2 weeks may solve that behavior and sometime rearranging things can help too, but it has nothing to do with memory.

I don't know... Wrasses can be pretty sensitive. Maybe the goby took the wrasses girlfriend ms. clownfish on a date without asking... :)
Sorry... Couldn't help myself.

Saltwater fish are very territorial, they fight for space and food. Rearranging the rocks sometimes will trick them into thinking they must establish new territory. Removing the bully seldom works, the other fish can become the bully and the fight is on again.
