Just went from a two standard 48 inch florescent in hood set up to a four still standard do I have a chance with some of the hearty soft corals like leather I also taped the inside of my hood with aluminum tape for better reflection

I wouldn't try to keep more then some shrooms under that lighting. Sun corals, sponges and sea fans like little to no lighting, but make sure you have lots of flow and food.

Keep an eye on the tape....Not sure the adhesive will hold up in a salty environment.

puffer is indicating that shrooms are the only softie that you couldf possibly get away with having such minimal lighting. the corals puffer mentioned are non-phjotosythetic, meaning they dont need light so it doesnt matter what kind of light you have.
sun coral, chilie coral, some gorgonians, any sponges are all non photodependant.
