DO I HAVE ICK? OR WHAT

Hello I have a 55 gal FO tank that has a flame angle, yellow tang and a blue damsel. They got what i thought was ick so i treated the hole tank with Maracide. For 2 different treaments total of 10 days. They got better. Then 3 days later I come home to find that the Yellow Tang is what looks like ick and his fins are blood red. The ick is all over is body bad. Looks as if he is scratching really bad. But all the fish eat realy great. I want to knnow if it might be a internal parasite. and if so can I treat Maracyn-Two. Since I just did the Maracide. Thanks for anyone that can help. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Maracide is a parasitic medication used to treat freshwater fish...not marine.
If you have a "true" FO tank, meaning no live rock, live sand, or inverts, corals, etc. then you can treat all your fish using hyposalinity in your main tank. There is a wealth of information on this procedure including many resent threads. Do a quick serach on hyposalinity; that should get you the correct info that you need.
If you need more help, then let us know.

Beth thanks for the information. I have been told by a reliable source that you can use maracide in saltwater but the only thing that is different is that it wont have all the protiens and vitiams that saltwater types have in it. just some thing about lowering the salt content realy bugs me. I foung that you can use maracyn-two and maracide at the same time so I did 10 gal water change last night and add the the right dose. I will do it for 5 days and see what happens. then if nothing changes i will think about doing the hyposalinity. But my Q now is if it is ick why is the fins on the yellow tang bloddy. I forgot to tell you that there is also 4 blood spots on his right side. ???
I check for ammonia=0 and nitrite=0
thanks again!!! mike

if you don't know exactly about the chemical you are gonna dose in the main tank, you gonna regret it.
Do you want to dose copper in your reef tank?
ofcourse not, because you know exactly about the copper chemical will do to your tank.
Well I think you got the idea here

This is to the sharks
How does one know that they have itch or ick?
what do you look for?
