DO I NEED A PROTIEN SKIMMER IN A HOSPITAL TANK?

I wouldn't think.
Just do water changes somewhat often to keep nitrates at bay and make sure the tank is cycled. I don't know if a skimmer would have a negitive effect, but I doubt it would help that much considering you have to do water changes on a hospital tank very frequently anyways.
My 2 cents, get some more opinions though.
