I have a 46 gallon bow reef tank that's been setup for a year now. I have over 50 lbs of LR, a prizm protein skimmer and a eheim 2227 wet/dry filter. I've been thinking of removing the eheim and rely on the skimmer and LR only. The reason for this is because the eheim cause the water level to fluctuate within a 1/2" level up and down. The skimmer has a overflow and when the water drops too low, it loses siphon. Do you think I can do without the eheim wet/dry? Plus it's not as easy as it claims to clean it.:help:
