How do i feed the live rocks. I am a real novice in reef tank keeping. What chemicals do i need to watch out for in my tank? how do i care for my tank? is calcium, iodine, iron really necessary for a reef tank the size of 7 gallons?

You dont have to feed the LR, Although the stuff on it may grow better with better lighting. You will need to let your tank cycle, which is the wait for your ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates to reach 0. Replace the water that evaporates with treated FW, as far as general care its hard to tell you cause I dont know what fish/inverts you may have.. any more details would be great! :D

in my 7gallon tank there is only one clown fish, one coral beauty and one harlequin shrimp. There is about 3 pound of live rocks. what care should i give to these creatures....what chemicals should i add to make the tank healthy? how often should i chage water? please...all advice are welcome. thank you =)

your 7 gallon tank is too small for that coral beauty IMO. i have one in my 29, and that is as small as i would go.
how long has your tank been set-up? what kind of water tests do you have...calcium, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph, phosphate? additions of calcium will help with your coralline growth, it helped for mine.

Wait until after your lights go out, cuz that is when the live rocks will open their eyes and mouths. Feed them with a feeder stick. Just remember this one rule: Never, never, never...feed them after midnight!

lol benihuma... i would just keep an eye on all your params. check also the calcium level in the tank. a level of 400-450 is good for coraline growth. other than feeding the rock i never heard of it.
