I have had a 25 gallon reef tank for about 4 months now, its been doin pretty good for tghe most part but i always want to make it better for my fish. I have been told that uv sterilizers and reverse osmosis units make a huge difference, is thios true? i have a seaclone 100 gallon protein skimmer, which hasnt been too bad and it deffidentaly cleans alot, and a dual wheel 75 gallon penguin filter(350 gallons an hour). I have also heard it is fairly simple to make these with the righht materials is this tru?? Is all this necessary and/or equipment right for my tank????

i would say that a uv sterilizer isnt a necessity.. i read alot about successful tanks that dont have then.. you dont have to get a ro/di unit, u can get that from your local grocery store usually by bringing your own bottles to put it in. Since you only have a 25 gallon, you could get a small unit, which requires the money for it, or u can just buy it by the gallon (usually around $0.30 per gallon). A 10% change would cost you $0.75 as opposed to a unit over $100..
what exactly are you talkin about making though? That part flew right over my head... do u mean making a uv sterilizer??? or an ro/di unit??

Yeah maybe, but you need to be very careful. Germicidal UV lamps can really mess up your eyes.
